My best advice is simply to pretend that the fan noise is aircraft engine noise. My fan actually blows directly in my face, like the wind effect of an old-time flying ace with a cap and scarf and goggles.

My standard GPU temp at load is 68-69c and idle is 45c with no fans and 30c with fans at 45%.
