Web13 de abr. de 2024 · On Holy Friday, church bells throughout Greece ring mournfully all day long, and in the evening there is the Procession of the Epitaphios—a recreation of the tomb of Christ—in each parish. In the morning, the Epitaphios is decorated with spring flowers—mostly white, red, and purple—until it is entirely covered. The church dates from the 13th century with 14th and 16th century additions. It was restored between 1872 and 1873 by Richard Norman Shaw. The church was restored sensitively with much re-use of original material as possible.
