Nephrosplenic ligament
WebThe nephrosplenic ligament (NSL) joins the spleen to the left kidney. Occasionally the large intestine migrates (moves) between the spleen and the body wall- becoming trapped over the NSL. Larger horses are at greater risk from this condition Abnormal migration of the colon so that it lies between the caecum and the right body wall.
